The Foundation for Education and Musculoskeletal Research (FEMR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity seeking corporate sponsors and business partners to support its Mission and Goals. Orthopaedic surgeon Matthew L. Jimenez, MD has launched this exciting initiative to help Chicago-area residents improve their bone health, and to reduce the incidence and mortality rate of fragility fractures.
Invest in Bone Health Research
Fragility fractures have a major impact on society; however, only a small portion of medical research funds are devoted to preventing these fractures. More clinical investigation is needed to shed new light on bone disease management and treatments to prevent bone loss. Support for orthopaedic research through increased private and public funding will be necessary to curb the coming epidemic of fragility fractures in the decades ahead.
Your partnership and support of FEMR’s efforts will make a significant impact on the long-term improvement of bone health of our community, and the subsequent reduction of related health care costs.
